About Neil

Over the course of his four decade plus career, Neil Hulbert has been a diligent practitioner of the law, focused on the highest legal standards and quality client service. He is a stockholder/director for Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing, and serves as the firm’s General Counsel. In that position he provides guidance to the attorneys on ethical and other issues including client engagements. Neil also serves as the firm’s claims counsel and develops and implements risk management policies, procedures and training. He also continues his litigation practice in the areas of title insurance, escrow, real property, and finance-related matters. Neil’s practice includes arbitration and litigation before state and federal courts.

As a young lawyer, Neil was privileged to clerk for the late Judge Dick Yin Wong of the Hawai`i Land Court.

Neil maintains an AV preeminent rating for ethical standards and legal ability from Martindale-Hubbell, and has been listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America since 2005. He received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, and his B.A. from Hobart College and he and his wife spend their time between Maine and Hawai`i (you can probably guess when he is in which location).
