TRANSPORTATION

We represent aircraft manufacturers and helicopter engine manufacturers in defense of product defect claims arising from aircraft crashes. We defend helicopter maintenance companies in multiparty litigation. We defend airlines against personal injury claims arising from on-board passenger accidents. We also provide general advice and counseling to air and ground transportation companies.

Our practice requires extensive knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, training and licensing requirements, as well as State and local rules. We also work with accident reconstructionists and other experts to determine the cause of aviation accidents – many of which involve pilot error and traumatic brain injury.

Some of the services we provide to clients in this industry include:

Government Procurement & Federal Grant Compliance

  • Solicitation analysis, proposal and bid preparation
  • Sealed bid procedures, including mistakes in bids and “two-step” sealed bid procedures
  • Sealed proposals/negotiated procurement procedures, conduct discussions, and evaluation issues
  • Privatization of government activities

  • Employment litigation including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims
  • Union organizing, collective bargaining negotiations, grievances, arbitration, and proceedings before National Mediation Board and the National Labor Relations Board
