Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing director Ellen Godbey Carson is among three honorees at the Mediation Center of the Pacific's
annual fundraiser. "Under the Mediation Moon: Celebrating 25 Years of Mediation and Collaborative Leadership in Hawaii's Schools" will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012, from 6-8:30 pm at Washington Place. Carson's accomplishments include convening a Citizen's Access to Justice Conference in 1996 during her term as Hawaii State Bar Association president. The conference led to the formation of a committee dedicated to promoting peaceful problem-solving among Hawaii's youth, laying the groundwork for peer mediation programs throughout the state. Carson has also co-chaired the Hawaii State Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section for many years and has convened dozens of roundtable discussions on current ADR topics for mediators and arbitrators. Also being recognized by the Mediation Center this year are Susan Chang and Sascha Franzel.
